Where to stay in Bacolod? The saga for an affordable, clean and homey place to stay  in the city of smiles continues.

Yesterday, I was unsuccessful in scoring a hotel room for next week's MassKara Festival weekend. All fully booked! Wish me luck today.

And then, I stumbled upon Regina Carmeli Pension. The lady who took my call said they are located near the Capitol lagoon area. But only one room left and its reserved! Oh, the headache of booking a room for a groupie!:

Finally, the dormitory-retreat house at St. Scholastica's Academy where my students and I stayed three years ago. It is rather secluded far away from the hustle and bustle of Bacolod, at the far end of La Salle Avenue. I tried my luck but the guard who answered my phone said the office is open only from 9:00am to 12:00 noon. Will see. Abangan!
