Vietnamese illegal poachers arrested in West Balabac, Palawan


Swimming with sea turtles has been one of the most amazing things I've done. One time, one sea turtle looked at me straight in the eye! That simple gesture sent a warm and fuzzy feeling inside me.

I support each chance I get to preserve these critically endangered critters. Imagine the horror to see a photo of what appears to be dead sea turtles piled on top of each other!?!

Ramon Mitra who apparently witnessed the arrest took the photo which is now spreading like wildfire in facebook. Mitra wrote:
Illegally caught critically endangered turtles from West Balabac (Palawan) being unloaded by captured Vietnamese fisherman just now in Tide Pole Navy Base (Puerto Princesa City).
