leaked video of the new "it's more fun in the Philippines" campaign

A supposedly leaked video of "it's more fun in the Philippines" campaign by the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) made the rounds in facebook Wednesday this week. But faster than one can say "leaked video of new it's more fun in the Philippines campaign," the video was taken down.

The newest version of the campaign which was taken down has a 2-minute and 45-second running time. The  video opens with "we are country named after a Spanish king/ to which an American general vowed to return/ or as someone described our history/ 300 years in a convent/ and 50 years in Hollywood."

The video continues with a quick slide of a dozen or so of idyllic Philippine islands (out of 7,107). Then the underwater sceneries, colors of sands (from white to black to pink sandy beaches) and flora and fauna and so on and so forth.

Toward the end of the video, the Enchanted River (in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur) is mistakenly named Bongabong though.

I'd have to say that the newest "it's more fun in the Philippines" campaign is way more "fun" than the one rolled out for the global audience in May via CNN.

I can't wait to see the final campaign!

  1. i first saw this campaign at the launch of "Islands Insider" last month... it was attended by the DOT secretary and I agree, I like it better than the one released in international market... medyu mabilis lang ito, hirap habulin ng text.. hehe!

    1. nyax! di pala "leaked" kasi ipinalabas na pala sa isang public event. i've been wondering why they took it down
