MassKara Festival 2012 schedule: Life's good in Bacolod!

Your chances of getting a room in Bacolod during the MassKara Festival week is slim (especially now with a month to go before the MassKara Festival). The most expensive hotel to budget pension houses to the cheapest accommodation in town have been booked since early this year I heard! Don't fret. Neighboring cities Silay (14 km.) and Talisay (7.3 km.) or some retreat houses in the fringes of the city could probably make room for one more traveler like you.

Arguably the grandest festival in Western Visayas, MassKara Festival in Bacolod has always outdone itself year after year. I couldn't wait for October to arrive and party like a rock star!

Here's the schedule of the most festive long weekend in Bacolod:

Bohollywood sign in Chocolate Hills, Bohol

At the moment, a source can neither confirm nor deny the existence of  this BOHOLLYWOOD sign in Chocolate Hills in Bohol. I am still contacting people I know who are based there to check if indeed this is true or this is just a hoax.

I stumbled upon the photo (screengrab above) shared by a certain Jason Jue in facebook and I must admit I was flabbergasted upon seeing it!

What do you think? Is this just photoshopped or it is what it is?

Cebu Pacific Air flies Cebu-Bangkok; Bangkok-Cebu starting December 2012

Good news to budget travelers!

Bangkok is now just a flight away with the opening of Cebu Pacific Air route in December 2012. My most favorite city in Southeast Asia (for its food, people, culture and  most of all, good value for money), Bangkok is one city that I will keep visiting.

I miss the pulsating energy of Khao San Road! And pad thai, too!

short term rental in Manila through roomorama

I know I've found my home in Manila (at least for a couple of days) when I stepped into Newcastle Properties' studio unit in the modern tropical mid-rise condominium called Sea Residences.

Located right in the heart of Mall of Asia complex, the unit is just a quick 5-minute walk to the best shopping, dining and entertainment experience in the bay area. Cab is easily available in the driveway just outside the lobby while bus and jeepney stops are just around the corner.
